The Top 10 Campaign Funds in Illinois with the Most Donations

Searching political contributions and campaign finances now is easy thanks to the Illinois Campaign for Political Reform’s Illinois Sunshine database.

Its intuitive, user-friendly design allows users to look up the most up-to-date financial information for all campaign funds as well as the financial activity of Super PACs.

Using the database, we put together a list of the top 10 campaign committees that have received the most political donations since Jan. 1, 1994, when the Illinois State Board of Elections began collecting data electronically.

The Illinois Campaign for Political Reform says it built Illinois Sunshine “to give journalists, activists and citizens better access to and documentation for this data.”

Here are the top 10 Illinois campaign committees with the most total donations since Jan. 1, 1994, and the top five donors to each fund.
