The Top 25 Richest Illinois Pensions

Taxpayers United of America released its updated study of the top 200 Illinois pensions, that, as of Feb. 1, 2015, exceed $200,000 per year.

Keep in mind these pensions are nowhere near the average annual payout for the majority of retirees in the state’s five pension systems, or the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund, but the amount these individuals receive each year and the total sum they’ve collected to date is staggering.

Here are the top 25 biggest government pensions in Illinois. You can see how much they’ve contributed to their own pensions as well as the estimated lifetime payout.
