2-Building Business Park Proposed For Old Lockformer Company Site In Lisle

LISLE, IL — Developers have proposed a multi-building business park for the 18.5-acre plot of land that was once home to The Lockformer Company at 711 Ogden Ave. in Lisle.

The site has been unoccupied for more than 20 years.

Petitioners Stotan Industrial are proposing to build a 100,000 square foot building and a 125,000 square foot building, each with side loading docks. The buildings would share a parking lot consisting of 340 spaces.

Each building would have space for eight or more tenants. Developers are hoping to attract a mix of uses for these spaces, including trade showrooms, educational facilities, indoor recreation, speciality distribution and corporate offices.

Developers will not permit freight terminals, data centers or heavy manufacturing facilities at the site, per village documents.

Petitioners will present a conceptual site plan at the Aug. 19 planning and zoning commission meeting. During the proposal presentation, trustees can offer feedback and guidance on the development.

A formal proposal and public hearing would be required before any official action is taken.
