74-Year-Old Killed, 2 Hurt In Lisle Crash
Two Lisle police officers were also hospitalized after being exposed to blood while tending to the victims' injuries.

LISLE, IL — A 74-year-old man was killed and two other people were injured in a crash in the 900 block of Ogden Avenue just before 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, Lisle police said. The elderly man was driving a blue Nissan Rogue heading west on Ogden when it crossed the center line and crashed into a black Acura heading west, according to a press release issued by police.
The driver of the Nissan and two people in the Acura were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove with serious injuries. Two police officers were also treated at Edward Hospital in Naperville after they were exposed to blood while applying tourniquets and bandages to the victims, police said.
The 74-year-old driver of the Nissan later died of his injuries, police said.

The FIAT (Felony Investigative Assistance Team) Major Crash Reconstruction Team was called to investigate the crash. Traffic was diverted from the scene for approximately three hours while emergency crews and the MCRT worked on scene.
