7K Pumpkins To Sparkle In Glass Pumpkin Patch At Morton Arboretum

LISLE, IL — Morton Arboretum will sparkle with spirit of the Halloween season as 7,000 blown glass pumpkins fill the west lawn and staff parking lot for the 12th Annual Glass Pumpkin Patch. Slated to run Oct. 12 through Oct. 16, this beloved event will also feature glass blowing demonstrations and a glass pumpkin sale.

This year, 16 artists created glass pumpkins for the sale and exhibition. Artist Shannon Jane Morgan will be the event’s featured glass blower. Morgan will show off their skills as narrator provide details about how the pumpkins are made.

The hours for the 2022 Glass Pumpkin Patch are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 12 through 16. The exhibition will be open from 10 a.m. Oct. 12 through Oct. 14 at 1 p.m. Visitors can buy a glass pumpkin of their own to take home between 1 p.m. on Oct. 14 through 5 p.m. on Oct. 16.

A Halloween tent will also be on hand to offer other seasonal decor for purchase.
