Greetings Lisle Residents!
A group of us decided to start a new blog on Patch. There is a lot of good information on this free resource and we would like to contribute in a fashion to inform each other on things that matter to Lisle.
We will mostly be looking at the Village of Lisle and other local taxing bodies - spending and taxing. We've already spent some time looking at the type of information that is readily available on the government websites and our blog will supplement what is not found online.
In order to do this, we will obtain our information by FOIA.
Our goal is to share the process of becoming a more informed citizen and to also share the information we obtain with our neighbors.
We identified several items over the past few weeks as we discussed our project and we will tackle them one at a time.
Our first project is to learn more about the new publication that gets delivered to Lisle residents called "Neighbors of Lisle."
Earlier today we submitted our first FOIA to the Village of Lisle, the Lisle Park District and the Lisle Library to find out how much this publication costs taxpayers.
