LISLE, IL — Lisle police will take part in the 2024 National Night Out event on Aug. 4, offering a touch-a-truck experience, tours of the police headquarters and other activities to connect with community members.
Residents are welcome to visit the Lisle Police Department from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. during National Night Out to chat with police officers and get a behind-the-scenes peek at police operations. Local restaurants will have food trucks at the event offering items for sale.
National Night Out got its start in 1984 as an initiative to build relationships between community members and local police departments. Now, events are held throughout the U.S. during the first Tuesday in August each year.
