LISLE, IL — On Monday, Lisle village trustees will review an ordinance granting zoning entitlements for a proposed Kindi Academy School at 2275 Cabot Dr.
Kindi Academy is looking to convert the site's existing office building into a school with outdoor athletic facilities.
Per village documents, the requested zoning entitlements comprise a major change to the petitioner's planned unit development and special use permit.
Among the zoning requests are variances to allow changes in the development's required setbacks and an increase to the village code's limits for outdoor athletic facility lighting.
During a public hearing on July 15, neighboring residents expressed concerns about traffic impact of the proposed development and concerns about whether it fits in the Corporate Woods Corridor.
Planning and Zoning Commission members voted 4-1 to recommend the zoning requests be denied.
Monday's meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at Lisle Village Hall.
