LISLE, IL — Schmaltz Delicatessen in Lisle will donate a portion of its proceeds during National Deli Month to help DuPage PADS support unhoused residents in the county.

Throughout August, the deli will dedicate $1 from each breakfast bagel sandwich it sells to donate to DuPAGE PADS.

The Naperville-based delicatessen's owner Mark Goodman, who founded the deli with his wife and Edward Hospital nurse, Tonia, said, "A neighborhood deli has always been about more than great food—it's about taking care of people and the community. Supporting PADS of DuPage County allows us to extend that tradition beyond our dining room and into our community. Every breakfast bagel sandwich purchased during August helps make a meaningful difference for someone in need."

Schmaltz Delicatessen first opened in 2004 in Naperville. The shop relocated to 3011 Ogden Ave. in Lisle after the start of the COVID pandemic.
