LISLE, IL — A driver was killed in an overnight crash in Lisle, according to police.
Officers responded shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday to the 900 block of Maple Avenue, where a westbound Ford F-150 had left the road, hit multiple mailboxes and collided with a tree, police said.
The driver and sole occupant, a 33-year-old man, was unresponsive and trapped inside, according to police, who said emergency personnel extricated him and took him to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The crash remained under investigation and the man's identity was being withheld pending notification of next of kin, police said.
