Tornado May Have Hit Lisle Tuesday Morning: Village

LISLE, IL — Lisle officials are urging residents to use caution in the wake of damaging thunderstorms and wind that may have included a tornado Tuesday morning.

In an update on social media, Lisle representative wrote, "The Village is aware of reports of a possible tornado event occurring on the northside of Lisle this morning, Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2026."

The village's update said emergency crews are working to address downed power lines, trees, road hazards and other damage.

Residents were advised to avoid areas of damage, to check on their neighbors and to report downed trees that are blocking travel via pw@villageoflisle.org.
