The ordinance would amend the park district's current code of conduct booklet regarding personal transportation devices.

LISLE, IL — On Thursday, the Lisle Park District will discuss an ordinance to prohibit motor-driven cycles, electric scooters and electric bicycles on park district property.

The move to prohibit electric scooters and e-bikes on park district property comes as nearby municipalities are increasingly putting restrictions on these transportation devices.

The Wheaton Park District recently voted to prohibit all e-bikes and e-scooters and the Naperville Park District prohibits e-scooters and limits the rider age, speed and permitted areas of use for e-bikes .
