• Fire Breaks Out In Green Trails Subdivision In Lisle (patch.com) — Residents in Lisle's Green Trails subdivision saw emergency crews respond early Friday after a fire was reported near Surrey Ridge Drive and Valley Forge Road. Valley Forge Road was temporarily closed while firefighters worked to contain the blaze, which was under control by early evening and caused no reported injuries.
   

• Illinois grew a living museum with 100,000 plants, and it's open every day of the year (wheninyourstate.com) — Lisle's Morton Arboretum is open every day, offering 1,700 acres of trails, gardens, children's play areas, and scenic drives just off I-88. Residents can explore the kid-focused Children's Garden and Maze Garden, ride the Acorn Express tram, and catch the new Vivid Creatures sculpture exhibit, the Fall Color Festival, and the Illumination winter light show through spring 2027.
