LISLE, IL — Lisle's Public Art and Special Events Advisory Committee will discuss plans for a new temporary art installation downtown that will coincide with the winter holidays.
According to village documents, the holiday art installation will incorporate lighting elements from the recent Hokusai installation, in addition to pine garland, ornaments and other seasonal decor. Photo opportunities will be available througout the installation, which is "designed to enhance the downtown atmosphere, encourage foot traffic, and create an inviting gathering space for residents and visitors," meeting documents said.
Concept images show large toy soldier and candy figures, a pine archway and other holiday accents.
It's possible the committee will expand the art installation during future holiday seasons.
