Lisle Senior High School Announces Illinois State Scholars

The Illinois State Scholar Program identifies those Illinois high school seniors whose academic achievement leaves them among the top 10% of graduates from high schools across the state. Each student named a State Scholar receives a Certificate of Merit from the Illinois Student Assistance Commission. Besides receiving statewide recognition from the various news media in the state, the names of the State Scholars are given by the Commission to the colleges and universities in Illinois. The distinct honor of being named a State Scholar is further highlighted by the fact that many colleges and universities actively seek the State Scholar for admission. Students are named State Scholars on the basis of their ACT or SAT scores and class rank at the end of their junior year. This recognition is one which reflects years of hard work and dedication to excellence. Lisle Senior High School would like to congratulate the following twenty-two members of the Class of 2011 who have been named Illinois State Scholars:

  • Najid Ali, Catherine Armitage, Evan Craven, William DeCraene, Gregory Dzuricsko, Jacob Eaton, Grant Fitzgerald, Skya Gentle, Reginald Jansen, Neal Kfoury, Edward Kretch, Callie Lenkart, Caeligh McCarthy, Teague Murphy, Tijana Popovic, Syeda Quadri, Benjamin Rowe, Waasiq Shafi, Stacy Spangler, Michael Swartz, Jacob Tarasewicz, Daniel Young
