Safe Haven Dog Rescue saved Bella and Landry from high kill shelters and brought them to Illinois so they could choose a family to love. They are amazing...but they are also discouraged because they haven’t been able to find their family.
When people visit our adoption events, they walk right past them to “oooh and ahhh” over the cute, fluffy little puppies without a second glance at these fantastic dogs. They have NO IDEA what they are missing!!!
Becasue Landry and Bella are “teens”, they are past the nipping stage and are already crate trained! They have learned basic commands like how to sit and are eager to learn more. It’s like having much of the ”puppy” work already done and being able to start with the fun!

They will know when the perfect family comes along, but haven’t met them yet!
Landry is possibly a small Border Collie / Shiba Inu mix and would like a family that loves to play and will keep him supplied with bones and toys. He gets along great with children and he wants to play with cats but understands that most of the time they don’t appreciate that! He is very smart and can sit and down. He is potty trained and stands the door when he has to go out. He is crate trained and sleeps through the night. He is attentive and loves to learn!. He likes to follow you and watch all that you do and is also content to curl up in your lap and chill out.

Bella is possibly a Black Mouth Cur mix. She is on the smaller side and is a very sweet, affectionate, cuddly girl that wants a family to treat her like the princess she is. She loves to be held and lay with you and really likes her one on one time and attention. She also loves to play with other dogs and childres. She is a smart girl and catches on quickly! She is crate trained and has learned basic commands. She knows there is a family that is waiting for her and is eager to find you!
