CareNet's Question for Planned Parenthood: "Are Women Being Served, or Being Lied to for Profit?"

In the wake of the baby parts video controversy, a local DuPage provider responds.

Planned Parenthood has been in the news for the past several weeks as videos have been released demonstrating key Planned Parenthood officials and others discussing the procurement and price of aborted fetal body parts. At stake in the aftermath is the public funding of the abortion giant which is about $528.4 million or 40% of their $1.3 billion budget. In the wake of these recent headlines, CareNet Pregnancy Serves of DuPage questions Planned Parenthood’s motives and practices.

“The big question is,” said Barbara Singer, President of CareNet, “are women being served by an organization that profits on the fears and angsts of vulnerable pregnant women?” “Women are told that their baby’s hearts, livers and other valuable parts are being donated to science,” she continued, “but in reality they are being sold to the highest bidder for profit.”

Singer, whose organization offers free ultrasound to pregnant women, pointed out that Planned Parenthood routinely fails to offer women the opportunity to see their babies in ultrasound, but then uses ultrasound to determine the best way to preserve the parts of these babies for profitable sale. “Worst of all,” she added, “is that women are routinely told that abortion does not really involve a baby, but then video surfaces describing how pregnant women in Planned Parenthood clinics are being targeted for the procurement of the best aborted fetal body parts. Following the abortions, the arms, legs and other fetal body parts of theses aborted babies are then callously dissected and sorted through to make sure they can command top dollar. Does this not show that women being lied to, for profit, by the largest single abortion provider in the country?”
