Meet Cassie!
About 2.5 Years Old - Small Collie Mix
Safe Haven Dog Rescue brought Cassie to Illinois just after she had puppies in a Kentucky shelter. Now that the puppies are weaned, Cassie is in need of a foster home or forever family.
Cassie is super sweet and extremely people oriented. She is wonderful with everyone; men, women and kids. Although she is a little shy at first, it doesn’t last long! She warms up quickly and likes to make new friends. She loves to cuddle and sit in your lap.
She knows how to sit and lay down. She hasn’t been introduced her to any other dogs but when she has been outside and dogs have gone by she is interested and wags her tail in a relaxed and happy way. She did show some interest in her foster’s cat but she did not chase or react to the cat. She also goes outside and seems to be house trained. Overall, she is an amazing girl with a big heart and plenty of love to give!

While you foster, we pay all expenses from vetting, to food and we provide a crate, leash, collars, and toys. Your family provides love and a safe home until she finds her forever home. We also require that you have the ability to take her to routine veterinary visits at our participating vets. These vets are located in Wheaton, Naperville, and Elmhurst. Spay/Neuters are done in North Aurora.
