
CBA Dupage East Chapter Member Spotlight - Denise Baranowski is Managing Director of Northpoint Financial Group. She combines her very
extensive experience in the investment management, fiduciary, philanthropic and financial, estate,
divorce and retirement planning areas with the premier global investment capabilities
of Northpoint Financial Group. She is a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA),
Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA) and is a registered representative and
investment advisor with Woodbury Financial Services, Inc. She holds her Series 7,
31 and 66 licenses. She is licensed in life, health, disability, long-term care and variable insurance.
Denise is a graduate of Houghton College in New York with a Bachelors in Organizational
Management.
She previously worked as a paralegal for several international east coast law firms specializing
in corporate, corporate litigation, employee benefits, tax and estate planning; and as a financial
advisor for Sanford C. Bernstein, J.P. Morgan, Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley both here and in
New York City.
Denise cofounded the Suburban Chicago Planned Giving Council in 1995 and was a Board Member of
the Chicago Council on Planned Giving for many years. She was a member of the Advisory Committee for
the New York Public Library and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. She also served
as a member of the Advisory Councils for several not-for-profit organizations including the State of
Illinois Charitable Advisory Committee, the Lincoln Park Zoo, the Museum of Science and Industry;
Roosevelt University, the American Cancer Society; WTTW, and the Chicago Foundation for Women.
She is currently an Advisory Committee Member for the DuPage Community Foundation.
Denise is a native of New York State and has lived in Illinois for 17 years. She enjoys golf, reading,
auto racing and spending time with her family.
