Connelly and Cronin to host Senior Health Fair Sept. 23

SPRINGFIELD, IL – State Sen. Michael Connelly (R-Wheaton) and DuPage County Board Chairman Dan Cronin are hosting a Senior Health Fair at the DuPage County Administration Building on September 23, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The free event is open to all area senior citizens. Seniors will be able to participate in several activities including: posture tests, nerve scans, the Illinois “Rules of the Road,” free photo identification cards, and many more. The County Administration Building is located at 421 N. County Farm Road in Wheaton.

Informational booths at this year’s Health Fair include: transportation, veterans assistance, saving money on utility bills, nutrition, long-term care, eye health, assisted living and safety in the home.

Health Fair participants include: AARP Illinois, AIM Center for Independent Living, Alzheimer’s Association, Bodywork Message Therapy, Cadence Health, Citizens Utility Board, CPR, Wheaton Police Department, DuPage County Circuit Court Clerk, DuPage County Crime Stoppers, DuPage County Health Department, DuPage County Highway Department, DuPage County Office of Homeland Security, DuPage County Senior Services, DuPage County Sheriff’s Office, DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office, DuPage County Veterans Assistance Commission, Edward Jones, Hruska Insurance, Illinois Department of Human Services, Illinois State Police, Juice Plus, Lexington Square, Office of the Illinois Attorney General, Office of the Illinois Comptroller, Office of the Illinois Treasurer, Office of the Illinois Secretary of State, PACE, Social Security Administration and several other area agencies and nonprofits.
