District 99 to Name New Superintendent by December

The next superintendent of Downers Grove Community High School District 99 is expected to have a six-month transition period before Mark McDonald retires.
A Dec. 14 deadline has been set for the superintendent search, according to the Chicago Tribune, and McDonald is planning to retire at the end of the 2015-16 school year.
The district is planning distribute an online survey to poll the community about what qualities and characteristics they would like to see in the next superintendent, and a focus group will be held.
