Dog Grooming, Tarot Card Readings, More At Lisle Barkapalooza

The 26th annual Barkapalooza will feature vendors that offer goods and services for pets.

LISLE, IL — If Fido's looking for something fun to do on Sept. 29, be sure to tell them about the 26th Annual Barkapalooza in Lisle. The dog-centric event features doggy pedicures, pet tarot card reading, grooming, and other services, in addition to a number of local vendors.

A Dog Walkathon at the event will introduce visitors to furry friends who need a forever home. The Walkathon is followed by a pet expo, where current dog owners can spoil their pets rotten.

The selection of attractions and activities includes pet caricatures, a dog-friendly photo booth, and $35 microchipping. Several experts will also speak at Barkapalooza, from Deacon Greg Ouska, who will share a blessing for the animals to Lisle Mayor Christopher Pecak and Downers Grove Mayor Bob Barnett.

Kids can take part in a scavenger hunt to find more than 100 stuffed animal pups that are hidden outside. Food vendors will be on hand to provide sustenance and local artists will perform live ukulele and rock music.

Barkapalooza 2019 is hosted by the West Suburban Humane Society.
