“We are proud to offer this new experience to all of our camp participants. Beyond working on their game, these young athletes now have a rare opportunity to visit the United Center and meet Chicago Bulls personalities,” said Xan Pearson, Vice President of Marketing at the Bulls/Sox Academy, which operates the camps. “The professional instruction and the opportunity to engage with a pro athlete create a “Bulls” experience that sets us apart from other summer camp programs.”
Professional instructors from the Bulls/Sox Academy will work with campers on ball handling, passing, shooting, rebounding, footwork and team concepts. The “Rookies” session is geared toward teaching the basic fundamentals of basketball for young players just learning the game. The “Veterans” session focuses on advancing essential skills of basketball for the more experienced or travel players. Each participant in the summer basketball camp program will receive the United Center experience, 4 White Sox ticket vouchers for a White Sox game, a Bulls/Sox Academy duffel bag, Chicago Bulls indoor/outdoor basketball, t-shirt, and a graduation certificate. All athletes will receive a skills evaluation, with the top skills scores in each age group competing for the Grand Championship on the United Center court at the annual Champions Day event.
