In anticipation of Halloween, we will have a special book/film discussion for a classic horror movie: Phantom of the Opera (Gaston Lerioux, 1911; film 1925). Discussions will focus on historical themes and connections to modern culture, and also on overall plot and tone of the books, with film discussions focusing not only on the adaptation, but on the main stars, themselves.
