
Whether you're a Blues lover, interested in Chicago's history, or just love music, you'll enjoy this entertaining and informative program on the History of the Chicago Blues, presented by blues scholar and library trustee Richard Flint. Trace the history of the genre from its jazz beginnings in the 1920's until its full development in the 1950's. Featured artists will include Big Bill Broonzy, Tampa Red, Sonny Boy Williamson I and II, Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf and others. There will be refreshments and a Q&A session from 6:30-7:00, with the presentation beginning at 7:00-8:00.
