Please join us for our discussion of Have You Found Her by Janice Erlbaum. Janice Erlbaum spent part of her teen years in a New York homeless shelter, and at the age of 34, she returns to the same shelter as a volunteer, eager to help homeless teens. Immediately, she begins an intense one-on-one relationship with a 19-year-old ex-junkie named Sam. At first, it seems Janice is having a good effect on Sam --- and then the relationship takes another turn. This is a compelling memoir about not only Janice’s experiences with Sam, but also an insider’s view into some of America’s social problems.
