FREE Movie Screening: She's Beautiful When She's Angry
Join us as we discuss feminism, intersectionality and more!

In
honor of International Women’s Day, Fempower, a student organization at
Benedictine University, and Reclaiming Me are coming together again to
present a screening of She’s Beautiful When She’s Angry.
“She’s Beautiful When She’s Angry resurrects the buried history of the
outrageous, often brilliant women who founded the modern women’s
movement from 1966 to 1971.”
We wish to pay homage to all of
the incredible women who came before us to secure the rights we enjoy
today. The story of the original feminists and members of the Women’s
Lib Movements resonate with so many showing us how far we’ve come and
how far we still must go in our fight for equality.
This movie will be shown at Benedictine University in Goodwin 317 on
Thursday March 16th at 6:00pm followed by a panel discussion.
This screening is completely free, however, we are accepting donations
during the event itself to help cover the licensing & fees
associated with this event. Even if you cannot donate much, ever bit
helps, even if it’s only $1. You can also donate when you register on
the Eventbrite link above. Again, please know, all of the money you
donate will go to paying the She's Beautiful Film Project's fees &
licensing to screen this film and anything above that will be donated to
them as well. They are a 501c3 nonprofit. Fempower & Reclaiming
