Grandparents' Anniversary Lands Lisle Resident Lotto Wins

LISLE, IL — A Lisle resident's grandparents' anniversary date recently proved lucky and brought in back-to-back Illinois Lottery wins.

The resident, who chooses to remain anonymous, used the anniversary date of July 16, 1941 as inspiration when picking their lotto numbers. First, the player used the numbers 7-1-6 on a Pick 3 ticket and won $290.

Then, on July 16, they played the numbers 1-9-4-1 on a Pick 4 ticket and won $1,080.

The player who had been researching their ancestry online just before the winnings said, "I just had a good feeling about it. I was thinking about my grandparents, who helped raise me and we were very close," according to Illinois Lottery.
