Home Invasion Report In Lisle Was Misunderstanding: Cops

Lisle police were called to a home invasion on Lincoln Avenue Friday morning, but later said it was a misunderstanding between roommates.

LISLE, IL - Police in Lisle said they were called to a report of an incorrect report of a home invasion Friday morning. It turned out that "no crime actually occurred" in the 5200 block of Lincoln Avenue, they wrote in a statement on Facebook.

Officers responded at 8:20 a.m. to the home after they were told of a home invasion possibly involving a firearm.

"After we spoke with everyone present within the residence, it was determined that a misunderstanding among roommates had taken place and no crime had actually occurred," police wrote in their public statement.

Units cleared the scene at the home around 9 a.m.
