How To Volunteer In DuPage County Amid Virus Crisis
A roundup of how to help the community, both in person and remotely.
DUPAGE COUNTY, IL — With precautions over new coronavirus causing closures and cancellations throughout Illinois, many residents in DuPage County are interested in knowing how they can volunteer to help those in need. The closures have affected schools, places of worship and long-term care centers, with many places also putting restricted visits or no visits into effect or residents practicing self-distancing, which can become isolating.
At DuPage Care Center, visits are currently restricted, which prompted staff to encourage community members to send love notes and letters to residents who are being cared for or live there.
