Lisle Cops To Increase Patrols For Holiday Season
Lisle police will be on the lookout for impaired drivers during a statewide enforcement campaign that kicks off Dec. 17.
LISLE, IL — Lisle police will increase patrols to target impaired drivers during the holiday season. The increased patrols begin Dec. 17 and will be in effect through Jan. 3.
"Driving impaired, whether under the influence of alcohol or drugs, can have catastrophic consequences and is illegal in every state," Lisle Police Chief Ron Wilke said in a news release.
Wilke added, "Not only do you put yourself at risk, but the lives of others as well."

The Lisle Police Department recommends the following tips to avoid impaired driving this holiday season:
- Designate a sober driver, arrange a ride-share or plan to take public transit
- Call the Lisle Police Department if you spot someone who may be driving impaired
- Take keys away from impaired drivers before they get behind the wheel
- Buckle your seatbelt
