Lisle District 202 Appoints New Schiesher Principal
Chicago Ridge resident Beth Lind replaces Dr. Linda Kotalik. She most recently served as the principal of a junior high in Frankfort, Ill.

Last week the Board of Education appointed Beth Lind as the new Principal of . Lind replaces Dr. Linda Kotalik, who is assuming the post of Director of Personnel and Staff Development.
Lind will join the district on July 1. She said she is proud to join the community.
"I am honored to be a part of such a dedicated team and take on an important role in guiding Schiesher Elementary to continued excellence. I look forward to connecting with such a strong community of stakeholders that are already actively engaged in the lives of the students. The education of a child is most effective when schools can partner with families and community members to meet the needs of students together. With great excitement I am anxious to begin my new relationship with the Schiesher Family and the Lisle School Community," she said in a statement.

Lind’s educational career spans more than 22 years. She began her professional career serving as a special education teacher for nine years and transitioned to administration by serving the students as the special education chair, assistant dean, assistant principal, and eventually becoming a building principal. She has served the students of Summit Hill Junior High in Frankfort, Ill., as the Principal for the past six years.
Lind earned a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Illinois State University, a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Governor’s State University, and is currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Educational Technology from Concordia University. She also earned a Director of Special Education endorsement from University of St. Francis.
She lives in Chicago Ridge with her husband and children.
“We welcome Mrs. Lind to District 202 as the new Principal of Schiesher Elementary School. She brings with her a wealth of teaching and administrative experience. Her leadership strengths match the goals and objectives of the District," Superintendent Dr. Patricia Wernet said in a statement.
Lind and Kotalik are not the only administrative changes District 202 families can expect next school year. Assistant Superintendent Keith Filipiak will fill the Superintendent seat vacated by Dr. Wernet. The District also welcomed new Finance Director David Wilkinson in May.
