Lisle Man Benefitted from Food Stamp Scam

An Illinois Department of Human Services employee will serve jail time for arranging benefits for her boyfriend and a gaggle of fictitious children, according to the Daily Herald. Police are still searching for the Lisle man.

 

A Illinois Department of Human Services employee who stole more than $21,000 in food stamps received jail time and probation from a DuPage County Court judge Monday, according to a Daily Herald report. 

Ebony Martin, of Maywood, arranged for a Lisle man she was dating to receive food stamp benefits for himself "and four ficticious children," and re-sold some of the stamps, according to the report.

Police have been unable to locate the boyfriend in question, Keith B. Jones, according to the report.
