LISLE, IL — A Lisle police officer was injured Saturday night during the arrest of a male resident at a home the 4000 block of Main Street. Daily Herald reported 23-year-old Conner Brophy was arrested as a result of a domestic dispute investigation, according to police. Once officers told Brophy he was under arrest for domestic battery against a family member, police said Brophy fought with officers and eventually escaped from the home around 11:45 p.m., according to the news report.

During the struggle with Brophy, an officer suffered a knee injury, police said.

Daily Herald reported Brophy is being held on $75,000 bond and was charged with aggravated resisting a peace officer and two counts of domestic battery, which comes less than a month after being released from DuPage County jail Aug. 10 where he served a six-month sentence for pleading guilty to driving without a license or permit. Brophy was also wanted on two outstanding no-bond warrants for what officials said was felony retail theft, according to Daily Herald.
