Lisle Police Investigating Armed Robbery Attempt

Lisle Police are searching for a person at the center of an armed robbery attempt on Ridgewood Road.

LISLE, IL — Lisle Police Department officials say they're investigating an armed robbery attempt that happened May 13 in the 2300 block of Ridgewood Road. Department officials say they were alerted the incident at 6:45 p.m. Sunday and upon arrival were told by victims that a black man in his mid to late 20's came up to a resident who was working in his front yard. According to the victims, police say the man showed a black revolver handgun and demanded the male resident to give him his wallet.

Police say the man was confronted by a second person at the home, who told him to leave the property. That's when the man got into a white Toyota Prius and drove away on northbound Ridgewood Road.

The person at the center of the attempted armed robbery is described by police as being heavy set, 5'6', wearing ripped baggy jeans and a colorful hooded sweatshirt.
