Lisle To Unveil Community Park Fitness Trail With Ribbon Cutting

A ribbon cutting will be held Aug. 27 to unveil the new fitness trail, which features seven outdoor exercise machines.

LISLE, IL — Village officials will unveil the new Lisle Community Park Fitness Trail with a ribbon-cutting event on Aug. 27. The fitness trail features seven exercise machines located the path in Community Park.

The fitness equipment includes:

  • Two-person sit-up bench
  • Two-person accessible chest press
  • Two-person leg press
  • Two-person station for dips and pushups
  • Balancing plate
  • Rowing machine
  • Multilevel bars

The project was the brainchild of Lisle Trustee Tom Duffy and village Park District Commissioner David Richter, a news update said.

Lisle Trustee Sara Sadat told Patch, "An initiative such as the Fitness Equipment at Community Park speaks to the the strength of intergovernmental collaboration, something that I have been advocating for years on the Village Board. It is exciting to see many newcomers with fresh ideas carry on this vision."

She added, "I am looking forward to concur to collaborate with our intergovernmental agencies as we open our submissions for public art grant proposals, beatification of infrastructure and tunnels and continue to make Lisle a welcoming and thriving community for all to enjoy."
