Liz is an amazing dog that has had rough start to life. She has learned that people can be good and has learned to trust. She didn’t even bark until she found her voice about a month after she came to Illinois. She has met many new people and children and gets along with everyone!
Kennel / Crate- She is absolutely wonderful with her kennel. She will go right in when told to kennel. She goes in her kennel when she takes a nap when the door is left open. She is not crated while her foster family is away. She does fine being left alone.
Training - Liz is very trainable and loves treats as a reward. She is house broken and will stare out the door when she has to go. She walks well on a leash by your side. I have not had her off leash since we are next to a corn field with lots of critters and I see her hunting instincts kicking in when she is watching them in the yard. She chases the birds in our yard and is quite determined about the squirrels. Because of this, we are recommending a fenced in yard.

When she arrived in Illinois she was absolutely fearful of the car. She has been going on short trips to the park and rewarding her with treats. Now she is doing WONDERFUL!!!!
If given the chance she would love to sleep in your bed but will sleep in her kennel just fine. Liz will do well in a home with other active dogs. She likes to play and rough house with her canine friends so she will do well as an only dog or with others. The family that adopts Liz will be very lucky to have such a loving girl!
