Today, Wednesday, May 27, 2020 - Mayor Pecak announced a new COVID-19 Outdoor Eating and Drinking Relief Program to support Lisle restaurants and bars. In keeping with Phase 3 of the State’s Restore Illinois Plan and effective May 29, 2020, outdoor service at restaurants and bars is permitted with certain restrictions. The program is the result of the Village’s efforts to support these local businesses by providing additional outdoor space that will allow for the required distancing between customers and employees. The Executive Order also permits the sales of pre-mixed cocktails to-go once the recently passed HB 2682 is signed by the Governor.
“Increased outdoor dining will enhance the vibrancy in Lisle, and assist restaurateurs and others in the Village’s hospitality-industry as they begin to rebuild their businesses in a safe and responsible way,” said Mayor Chris Pecak.

Examples include ensuring a safe path of travel for pedestrians and vehicles and maintaining accessibility in compliance with the Illinois Accessibility Code. Details of the permit process are available on the Village website along with a copy of Mayor Pecak’s Executive Order.
