Museums at Lisle Station Highlighting World War II Posters Through Saturday

If you're interested, stop by or make an appointment with museum volunteers before time runs out!

Are you a history buff? Enjoy some World War II-related art at the while you still can.

The exhibit opened Sept. 3 and features seven original posters printed by the United States government, according to the website. Exhibit items include:

  • "I Want You for the U.S. Army" featuring Uncle Sam
  • Boxer Joe Louis is shown in a combat uniform

The exhibit was put together by the Public Affairs staff of the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency and the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library.

The exhibit is on display until Saturday, Oct. 15, according to the museum's blog page. The museum is open on Saturday from 1 - 4 p.m. Museum tours are available year-round by appointment. See the museum's website or call 630-968-0499 for information.
