New Large-Scale Sculptures To Debut At Morton Arboretum In May 2023
Sculptor Olga Ziemska will present her "Of the Earth" exhibition at Morton Arboretum starting in May of 2023.

LISLE, IL — A new large-scale sculpture exhibition will debut at Morton Arboretum in May 2023. "Of the Earth," the brainchild of Polish-American sculptor Olga Ziemska, will feature towering sculptures crafted from branches and other natural materials that were collected from the grounds of the arboretum.
The exhibition's title, "Of the Earth," draws inspiration from Ziemska's name, which translates to "of the earth."
"Everything in life is derived from the same basic elements that form everything in nature, including ourselves. There is no separation," Ziemska said in a news release.

Ziemska, who is based in Cleveland, Ohio, has made art installations in Poland, Italy, South Korea, Taiwan, Mexico and other international locations during her 20-year career. "Of the Earth" will be her biggest public exhibition thus far.
"The experience of art paired with nature throughout the Arboretum has been very appealing to both frequent visitors and those coming for the very first time," Preston Bautista, vice president of learning and engagement at Morton Arboretum shared in a statement.

Bautista added, "We are continuing this approach of one-of-a-kind exhibitions aligned with the Arboretum's mission that really motivate people to get outdoors among trees and explore nature."
The exhibition will replace "Human + Nature," which features the large-scale sculptures of South African artists Daniel Popper through Feb. 2023.
"Of the Earth" will open May 26, 2023 and will be on display at Morton Arboretum until the end of spring 2025.
