Pair Caught With Open Alcohol, Methamphetamine In Lisle: Cops
Police say Edwin Roman Sr., 57, and Sarah E. Bennett, 44, had open alcohol and drug paraphernalia inside their car at Speedway in Lisle.
LISLE, IL — A man and woman were arrested outside a Speedway gas station in Lisle Sunday night after police say they were caught with open alcohol, drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine.
Police spotted Edwin Roman Sr., 57, of Joliet, and Sarah E. Bennett, 44, of Yorkville, slowly driving around the gas station's parking lot in a silver Ford Escape around 11:15 p.m., a news release said. According to police, the driver then parked the Ford Escape next to the gas station's dumpsters.
Police say they noticed Roman and Bennett using drugs when they approached their vehicle. In a subsequent search of the car, police reported finding open alcohol, drug paraphernalia, and a substance suspected to be cocaine.

Roman is also accused of having suspected methamphetamine in his pants pocket.
Both Roman and Bennett were taken into custody. Roman was charged with felony unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of methamphetamine. Bennett was charged with felony unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
