Pedestrian Dead After Being Hit by Train in Lisle
Incident happened around 5:30 a.m. June 3.

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a Metra train early Wednesday, June 3 in Lisle, the Chicago Tribune reports.
A Metra spokesman told the Tribune that a train traveling east on the BNSF Railway struck a pedestrian at around 5:30 a.m.
The train wasn’t carrying any passengers at the time. Inbound and outbound trains on the BNSF line were halted after the incident.

Just before 6:30 a.m., Metra officials said the line’s third track had been opened and inbound trains were resuming service but would be running up to 40 minutes behind schedule.
The DuPage County Coroner’s Office along with the Lisle Police Department assisted by the DuPage County Sheriff’s Department are currently investigating the incident.
