Rosie and the Rivets Rock the Arboretum
Great music and a large crowd make for a fun Thursday evening!
Covering 50’s and 60’s artists like Elvis, Buddy Holly and Dion, Rosie and the Rivets put on a spectacular performance over the course of two hours at the Morton Arboretum. The audience ranged from those who grew up with this genre of music (and maybe even remember playing the song on a jukebox at the ice cream parlor) to those that became hooked on oldies music on the radio. Smiles abounded as the large crowd could be seen doing anything from tapping their toes and singing along to sharing a pizza with family and friends. And of course, as usual at a Rosie concert, there was no shortage of people showing everyone their jitterbug and twist skills!
Arbor Evenings are held at the Arboretum on Thursdays through September 2. For more information, see the Arboretum website: https://mortonarb.org/explore/activities/family/arbor-evenings/
Rosie and the Rivets is the premier Rock & Roll show performing the best danceable music of the 1950’s and early 1960’s. For more information on their schedule, check out their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/rosieandtherivets
