Downers Grove, Lombard Students Win Juvenile Officers Scholarship

The students plan to use their scholarships to pursue careers in social work and law enforcement.

WARRENVILLE, IL -- Two local students recently received $1,000 scholarships from the DuPage Juvenile Officers Association (DJOA) as they get ready to head off to college. The 2019 scholarships went to George D. Willer II, who attends Downers Grove South High School, and Annaliese Disimone, who goes to Montini Catholic High School in Lombard.

According to a press release, Willer plans to use his scholarship to study social work at Elmhurst College. Disimone will attend the University of Illinois Chicago and plans to work in law enforcement.

Both Willer and Disimone will be honored at the DJOA's meeting on May 22.
