CHICAGO — The Chicago Bears are warning NFL fans to take safety precautions ahead of Sunday’s divisional game against the Los Angeles Rams at Soldier Field, where snow and subzero wind chills are in the forecast.

The No. 2 seed Bears (12-6) will host the No. 5 seed Rams (13-5) at 5:30 p.m.

Chicago’s Sunday forecast calls for a high near 20 degrees, wind chills as low as minus 2 degrees, snow, and an overnight low of 2 degrees with wind chills dropping to 16 degrees below zero, according to the National Weather Service.

“While winter weather is part of the authentic Chicago game day experience, fans are encouraged to dress in layers, stay alert to changing conditions and prioritize safety throughout Sunday's matchup,” the Bears said in a weather advisory issued by the team ahead of the game.

Warming centers will be located throughout Soldier Field. Battery-operated clothing and blankets will be permitted, but fans will not be allowed to bring cardboard to sit or stand on.

Cold-weather dehydration is possible, so fans are encouraged to drink water throughout the game. Hot chocolate and coffee will be available throughout the stadium, with chili offered at select stands.
