Scarecrow Scramble 2023 Set For Oct. 14
Early registration ends Sept. 11, but there will still be plenty of time to sign up for the annual Scarecrow Scramble.
LISLE, IL — The 2023 Scarecrow Scramble is set for Oct. 14 at Lisle Community Park, bringing participants together in fall- and Halloween-themed costumes to raise money for residents in need.
Early bird registration was slated to end Sept. 11, but the deadline for pre-registration is scheduled for Oct. 11.
In addition to the Scarecrow Scramble's main 5K Run/Walk, a 50-yeard Tot Dash for kids two to four years old and a half-mile Youth Run for ages five to 11 years old. All Tot Dash and Youth Run participants get a ribbon when they finish the race, in addition to a ticket for pizza and a soft drink.

Registration costs are as follows:
- 5K Run/Walk: $45 Sept. 12 through Oct. 11; $50 on Oct. 14
- Youth Run: $35 Sept. 12 through Oct. 11; $40 on Oct. 14
- Tot Dash: $10 Sept. 12 through Oct. 11; $12 on Oct. 14
One hallmark of the annual event is its array of costumes, with participants dressing up like scarecrows or donning pumpkin shirts, fun onesies and other festive outfits. Click the link to register for the Scarecrow Scramble.
