Super-Sized Fun at Lisle Community Park This Saturday

Lisle, IL – On Saturday, June 3, the Lisle Park District invites residents and patrons to attend their BIG FUN at 50 Golden Anniversary Celebration in honor of 50 years of service to the Greater Lisle community.

On March 20, 1967, the park district conducted its first organized meeting. Without support from residents and patrons, the Lisle Park District would not be where it is today. To show gratitude and appreciation to the community, Lisle Park District is hosting festivities from 4-9pm at Lisle Community Park, 1825 Short Street in Lisle. Admission is free, and food and drinks are available for purchase. Giveaways will be handed out, while supplies last. Outlined below is a schedule of events for the day.

    • Toasty Cheese – Gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches
    • Grumpy Gaucho – Baked empanadas and gourmet sauces
    • Mario’s Cart – Hot, homemade sandwiches, tacos, tostadas, and flautas
    • Auntie Vee’s – Savory and sweet cupcakes, desserts, and pastries
    • Porkchop Bolingbrook – Gourmet Southern comfort food and BBQ
    • Mimi’s Humble Pie – Chicago-style pizza
• 5-6pm – Live children’s entertainment by Dave Rudolph’s Beach Party
• 7-8:30pm – Live musical entertainment by the band Shout Out

The Lisle Park District provides a variety of leisure activities for people of all ages throughout the year.
