Village Of Lisle: Village Recognized With Distinguished Budget Presentation Award

The Village of Lisle has been recognized for the 2nd year in a row with the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA). The award, which is in recognition of the Village’s Fiscal Year 2021-2022 Budget, represents a significant achievement and is reflective of the Village’s commitment to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting. In order to receive the award, the Village had to satisfy nationally-recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation. These guidelines are designed to assess how well a budget serves as a policy document, a financial plan, an operations guide, and a communications device. To receive the award, budget documents must be rated proficient in all four categories and in the fourteen mandatory criteria within those categories. The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) advances excellence in government finance by providing best practices, professional development, resources and practical research for more than 20,500 members and the communities they serve.
