Woman Scratches Cop During DUI Stop In Lisle: Police

Jordan C. O'Connor, 32, of Plainfield, allegedly dug her fingernails into a Lisle police officer's arm during a DUI stop on Ogden Avenue.

LISLE, IL — A Plainfield woman allegedly scratched a Lisle police officer during a DUI traffic stop Saturday. Jordan C. O’Connor, 32, of the 24900 block of Gates Lane in Plainfield has been charged with battery and resisting arrest, according to the Daily Herald.

O’Connor was reportedly a passenger in a vehicle driven by Kevin R. Bryan, 43, of the 6000 block of Oakwood Drive in Lisle when police pulled him over. Bryan allegedly made an improper left turn and drove over a curb. According to Daily Herald, the officer stopped Bryan at 12:37 a.m. near the 500 block of Ogden Avenue.

Police reported that while Bryan was conducting a field sobriety test, O’Connor allegedly got out of the car and seized the officer by his forearm. She then reportedly dug her nails into his skin and scratched the cop’s arm. Police said she then refused to put her arms behind her back when the officer requested that she do so.

Police charged O’Connor with resisting arrest and misdemeanor battery to a police officer. She is due to appear in DuPage County Court on July 5.

Bryan was charged with a DUI and is set to appear in court on July 12.
