Next Wednesday, April 23, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., the workNet DuPage Career Center will hold a free post-layoff workshop for workers who were impacted by the following layoffs:
- Encompass Claims in Woodridge,
- JC Penney in Bloomingdale.
- JP Morgan Chase Bank Mortgage Division in Downers Grove.
- Oldcastle Building Envelope in Bensenville,
- The Pampered Chef in Addison,
- Passages Hospice in Lisle, and
- Sylvania Lighting Services in Carol Stream.
Workshop attendees will learn strategies for a successful job search, the do’s and don’ts of certifying for unemployment benefits, and about the federally-funded job search assistance and training available through workNet DuPage.
